the Gnosjo parish,Smaland, Sweden died in 1813 was a painter and wood
cutter. He did a lot of work, pulpits, chairs etc for many different churches.

Further info: When clock repairs are made the movement is marked by the clockmaker and a date is added. Movements of this clock are dated a number of times. The earliest date is May/ 1712. The hand-carved case would be ca.1810. The movement of this clock is 30 hours.I questioned this with the repairman and he had a second look at the movement spring. Etiennne Mugnier the Younger was a French clockmaker and student of Abraham-Louis Breguet ( 1747/1843). The Court Watch Maker for Emperor Napoleon and “Monsieur” the brother of Louis X111. This high-quality clock is in very good condition and in working order.
