An outstanding Swedish Bonad with very strong colors. This was painted by Per Sevensson, Duvhuit, Sweden. He was an apprentice to Johannes Nillsson, a renowned artist in his own right. His paintings are easy to recognize because of the baby face of his subjects and he didn’t like empty spaces so he would fill them up with round rings. Dated 1844. A lot of bonads are long and narrow, up to 12 feet, but this one is square and easy to hang. Normal age wear. H. 56in., W. 56in.
