A Quebec painted dough box dating last of 18th century. Squared corner
posts and square head nails add to the construction of the box. The old
brown paint could be an overpaint. The top is without locks and hinges
which tells us it is a dough box. Two board top when flipped to the other side
shows great air burn. Box is in good condition except for the split in the top,
age and dryness could have done this. Size: 45 by 28 by 21.5 in.
