Ca.1800, French/Italian Dormer

Description

547. Very early dormer from a French/Italian chateau. Ca. 1800. Not shown, an old mirror has been added. At the bottom there is a ledge/platform which a vase of flowers or a carving could be set on. Construction is wood and very heavy. A very striking and unusual framed architectural mirror almost medieval. Normal wear to the frame and mirror. Actual color is lighter. H. 72in., W40in., D. 12in. (180cm by 100 by 30cm).
