French Empire Mantle Clock Ca. 1810. Patinated bronze urn form body with ormolu gilt accents raised on four bun feet. Four pineapple finials surmounted by an ormolu armillary sphere. Clock-face signed Mugnier. Etienne Mugnier the Younger was a French clock-maker and student of Abraham-Louis Breguet (1747/1843) who was the Court Watch Maker for Emperor Napoleon and Monsieur the brother of Louis X111. This high-quality clock is in very good condition and in working order. H 16 1/2in. AFA
